Sportradar chosen to protect Erste Bank Eishockey Liga integrity
The Erste Bank Eishockey Liga announces a partnership that will see the leaders in match fixing monitoring and detection Sportradar provide its Fraud Detection System to the league.
Under the terms of the 2 years contract, which was finalized with the support of Austria’s Play Fair Code, Sportradar will monitor the regular season and play-off games for each season – approximately 373 each year.
“When the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga includes so many important ice hockey markets and entertains so many passionate fans, we feel a strong responsibility to ensure that they all have no doubts about the commitment and the dedication of the teams and players. This partnership will ensure exactly that and we appreciate Sportradar’s support and expertise” Axel Bammer outlined. The EBEL Chief Operating Officer got an insight to the functionality of the Sportradar system in an all-day workshop in London lately.
Sportradar’s Managing Director Sport Right Owners Andreas Krannich added: “The reputation that we have established over 11 years across sport and more recently in
ice hockey through our work with the IIHF and the NHL, coupled with the strong and trustful relationship we have established with Austria’s Play Fair Code, allowed us to
put forward a vital and credible proposition to the EBEL. We would like to thank the Play Fair Code for their trust in us and of course their dedication and work around
sporting integrity in Austria. We would also like to thank the EBEL for their trust and commitment”.
