Sportradar speaks at 2014 SportAccord International Convention
From 6th-11th April, the 2014 SportAccord International Convention took place in Belek, Turkey.
The 6-day annual gathering of over 2500 leading representatives from international sport encompassed the Congress and General Assemblies of three associations whose members consist of 108 International Sports Federations (IFs) and Associate Members.
SportAccord Convention has provided the global sports community with an unrivalled opportunity to gather in an exclusive networking environment, to build relationships, expand horizons and broaden sport’s collective endeavours.
Sportradar’s Managing Director Strategy and Integrity, Andreas Krannich, participated in a plenary panel session on the topic ‘The Integrity Issue’:
“Without the rules, sport loses its true meaning. Holding on to the integrity of sport, however, appears more challenging every year. This session will tackle the scale and breadth of cheating in sport, from doping to match-fixing to gamesmanship. It will address the challenges facing IFs and sponsors alike. It will also draw on the expertise of the integrity police in search of a way forward. Can the ultimate sporting crisis be averted?’
